About this role
The Enterprise Integration Engineer at Flutterwave leads the technical onboarding for large enterprise merchants, acting as their technical point of contact from project kickoff to stable live payments. The role sits between Sales and Engineering and involves scoping, testing, and launching bespoke integrations with Flutterwave’s APIs, APIs, or hosted checkout. You will coordinate with Sales, Product, Engineering and Compliance, document progress in Jira, and guide merchant developers on Flutterwave REST APIs while ensuring payment security and successful Go-Live within the team’s targets. The position requires handling fewer, larger, more customised deployments compared with SMB integrations, and you will hand over after the merchant reaches stability to a Technical Account Manager. The role measures success by metrics such as time to first live transaction and payment success rates for your merchants."

- Scope and kick-off enterprise integrations with merchants.
- Assess merchant needs against Flutterwave products and recommend the appropriate setup.
- Maintain Jira records and clearly indicate next actions and blockers.
- Communicate with merchants via Slack or email and coordinate with internal teams.
- Ensure go-live checks are completed and that live keys pass KYB and system checks.
- Test integrations in the test environment before production, including 3DS, mobile money, and webhooks.
- Own the end-to-end onboarding of merchants from contract to first live transaction.
- Troubleshoot failures, read API requests/responses, and inspect logs to identify issues.
- Improve documentation and raise blockers in Jira when needed.
- Support incident response and provide evidence to the Customer Reliability Engineering team.
What they are asking for
- 4–9 years of experience in Integration or Implementation Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

- Experience using Postman to test APIs.
- Ability to read code in JavaScript, Python or PHP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple high-value projects and meeting timelines using Jira or similar tools.
