English Teacher (Grammar & Phonics)

About this role

Resurgir Consulting is seeking an English Language Teacher for Lagos to cover a broad English curriculum including grammar, phonics, reading, writing, vocabulary, spelling, oral English and pronunciation. The role targets candidates with strong grammar and phonics skills, good English communication, and a minimum of two years teaching experience, preferably in a primary school, with a degree in English or related field.

What you would do

• Plan and deliver engaging English Language lessons.
• Teach grammar, phonics, reading, writing, comprehension, vocabulary, oral English and pronunciation.
• Assess pupils' progress and provide appropriate support.
• Maintain effective classroom management.
• Support pupils in developing confidence in speaking, reading and writing.
• Adapt teaching to learners with different academic abilities.
