Engineering Rig Supervisor III (Lagos)

What you would do
- Generate accurate and adequate operations reports
- Order and organise logistics for services and equipment necessary for drilling and completion
- Interface with engineering and geology to align on well objectives and procedures
- Ensure adherence to drilling and completion procedures and manage changes where required
- Ensure that drills on site cover safety, environmental, security and other protocols at specified frequencies
- Monitor rig operations and provide feedback to rig contractor on well control and emergency procedures
- Communicate oi systems expectations on the rig site
- Set expectations for safety, security, health and environment and support SSHE event management
- Support on-site surveillance for operations (kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque and drag, mud properties, solids control)
- Coordinate and oversee rig personnel, contractors, and equipment as part of operations
What they are asking for
- 8–12 years of relevant drilling, rig operations, workover or well-servicing experience with substantial supervisory exposure
- Bachelor’s Degree or-HND in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalents considered
- Valid offshore survival and medical fitness certifications where applicable
- Experience with drilling programmes, operational reporting, risk assessment and HSE management systems
- Well-control certification appropriate to duties and environment
- Experience coordinating rig personnel, contractors, equipment and operational activities
