Engineering Rig Supervisor III

About this role

Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited seeks an Engineering – Completions Engineer III based in Rivers. The role represents the company on a rig site to support safe and efficient execution of well plans and acts as the main contact for rig and third party personnel to organise logistics. The position involves supervising safety, drilling and completion procedures, coordinating SSHE activities, and ensuring compliance with approved drilling and completion procedures while managing changes as needed.

What you would do

• Communicate safety, security, health and environment expectations and support SSHE event management.
• Convey oi System expectations on the rig site and monitor their adherence.
• Monitor rig operations and provide feedback to the rig contractor on well control and emergency procedures.
• Ensure safety, operational, environmental, security and other drills are conducted at specified frequencies.
• Ensure drilling and completion procedures are followed and manage changes through the change management process.
• Order and organise logistics for services and equipment for drilling and completion operations.
• Support onsite surveillance for kick detection, abnormal pressure detection, torque and drag, mud properties, and solids control efficiency.
• Generate accurate operations reports.
• Interface with engineering and geology to understand well objectives and procedural requirements.

What they are asking for

• Experience in rig supervisory or rig leadership roles for drilling and completion operations.
• Experience working for a major Operator or Drilling Contractor.
• Current certification for Well Control.
