Engineering Procurement Lead

About this role

Engineering Procurement Lead will coordinate between engineering and production teams and external suppliers to source technical, production, administrative and IT requirements. The role oversees engineering projects and factory services, manages contract negotiations and supplier relationships, and ensures GMP compliance, cost efficiency and quality. The position targets someone with an engineering background and at least several years of procurement experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or related industries in Lagos.

What you would do

• Act as liaison between engineering, production and external suppliers to align procurement requirements.
• Lead strategic sourcing for technical, production, administrative and IT needs.
• Manage PR, RFQ, negotiation, PO creation and contract award processes.
• Ensure supplier pre-qualification and regulatory compliance; monitor performance; conduct supplier audits with QA.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and warranties to optimise total cost of ownership.
• Analyse market trends and coordinate reorder levels to ensure timely supply.

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management in Pharmaceutical, FMCG or Biotech industries.
• Exposure to purchasing engineering and quality equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and water treatment plants highly preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle) and Advanced Excel.
• Moderate understanding of contracts and ability to negotiate service level agreements (SLAs).
