Engineering - Process Engineer II
About this role
A mid‑level process engineer role based in Lagos, working for Amaiden Energy Nigeria. The position targets individuals with chemical engineering background who can lead process design activities, oversee contractors, and support front end and detailed engineering in the oil and gas / refining sectors.
What you would do
- Lead a design team in developing basic process design specifications.
- Oversee engineering contractors' deliverables during front end design and detailed engineering.
- Monitor and guide junior engineers on process design tasks.
- Perform process optimization studies to identify capital and operating cost savings.
- Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with company methods and project specs.
- Assist with commissioning and start-up of new or modified facilities.

- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in petroleum refining or chemical processing, or with an engineering contractor serving these industries.
- Capital project development experience.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
