Energy Utility Manager
About this role
The Energy Utility Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role in Lagos responsible for monitoring and managing utilities across multiple facilities. The position focuses on energy and water usage, utility systems, and performance of power, HVAC and wastewater treatment installations, with duties including budgeting, tracking usage trends and preparing regular reports for leadership. The role requires coordinating with facility management, vendors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and implement efficiency and sustainability initiatives. It involves working with operations and finance to identify savings opportunities and support day‑to‑day facility operations. The employer is a Nigerian conglomerate with operations in hospitality and multiple locations, currently expanding its footprint in Lagos and Abuja.
What you would do
- Monitor energy and water consumption across facilities
- Manage utility systems and equipment performance (power, HVAC, wastewater)
- Prepare and manage utility budgets
- Track usage trends and generate regular performance reports
- Coordinate with facility management teams, vendors and regulators
- Implement efficiency initiatives and sustainability goals
- Identify savings opportunities in collaboration with operations and finance
- Support day-to-day facility operations and compliance
- Maintain documentation and reporting for leadership
- Ensure adherence to relevant environmental and regulatory requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Facility Management or related field
- Knowledge of utilities management including power and water infrastructure
