What you would do

• Conduct forensic investigations of email communications (phishing, spoofing, BEC, and other incidents).
• Analyse email headers, metadata, attachments, server logs, and routing to trace breaches.
• Prepare detailed forensic reports and provide recommendations to support incident response and security improvements.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT infrastructure teams to investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Collect, preserve, and document digital evidence while maintaining chain of custody.

What they are asking for

• Proficiency with digital forensics and email investigation tools (eg FTK, EnCase, Autopsy, Wireshark, Microsoft Purview).
• Relevant certifications such as CHFI, GCFA, GCFE, CEH or equivalent are advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, Incident Response or Email Security Investigations.
• Strong knowledge of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3), email header analysis, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Google Workspace security.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, Digital Forensics or a related field.
