Electronics Commodity Buyer (Hybrid)
About this role
Electronics Commodity Buyer role in Nigeria (hybrid work) responsible for leading electronics sourcing, supplier development and strategy alignment with R&D, Quality and Production to ensure component availability and cost competitiveness for new and existing products.
What you would do
- Define and implement sourcing strategies for the electronics commodity.
- Develop and manage suppliers for electronic components, PCB assemblies and related technologies.
- Drive supplier development focused on quality, capacity, delivery and continuous improvement.
- Support new product introductions with supplier readiness and component availability.
- Collaborate with R&D, Industrialization and Quality to evaluate technical solutions and supplier capabilities.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and manage lifecycle activities including EOL monitoring and continuity planning.
What they are asking for
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years in electronics sourcing, supplier development, procurement or supplier quality in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCB assemblies and EMS suppliers; experience with NPIs and supplier qualification.
- Knowledge of cost engineering, value engineering and supply chain risk management; proficient in SAP MM.
- Experience with Power BI, advanced Excel and data-driven decision making; strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
