About this role
The Electronic Security Systems Manager at G4S Lagos is responsible for planning, designing, scheduling and controlling electronic security technology activities to meet G4S Nigeria's objectives and serve its corporate, industrial and diplomatic clients. The role blends technical, project management and commercial skills to deploy and maintain CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms and fire systems, while leading engineering teams and managing vendor SLAs. The position reports to the Sales Director or Managing Director within Technology & Secure Solutions.
What you would do
- Develop, implement and manage the G4S Nigeria Electronic Security Systems policy and roadmap in line with group standards.
- Benchmark local offerings against international security trends and introduce innovative hardware and software solutions.
- Prepare, submit and manage the annual hardware, software and technology budgets; analyse monthly variances.
- Oversee system design, configuration and engineering drawings for scalable electronic security solutions; manage delivery of projects on time, within scope and budget.
- Draft, implement and monitor SLAs with technology providers, OEMs and outsourcing partners; oversee the monitoring centre and core infrastructure.
- Lead the technical team, enforce HSE standards on site, coordinate training and certifications, and act as escalation point for premium clients.

- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in Electronic Security Systems, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role in Nigeria or West Africa.
- Professional certifications in enterprise security systems (e.g., Lenel, Gallagher, Milestone, Honeywell, Bosch, Cisco CCNA) are highly preferred; PMP or PRINCE2 is advantageous.
- Proven track record of managing electronic security rollouts for multi-site corporate environments, oil and gas facilities, or high-end residential estates.
- Deep knowledge of IP networking, fibre optics, wireless transmission, and cybersecurity integration for physical security; ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics and CAD.
- Excellent negotiation, contract management and vendor liaison skills; fluent in English with strong presentation and technical report-writing abilities; high emotional intelligence to manage project stress.
