Electromechanical Technician

About this role

An Electromechanical Technician role based in Lagos with Scruples Resources. The position involves testing, maintaining and repairing general‑purpose test equipment, reviewing procedures and supporting engineering and reliability teams with experiments. It is suited to someone with a technical background in electrical, mechanical or electro‑mechanical engineering and several years of related experience.

What you would do

• Review assembly, disassembly and test procedures for accuracy and compliance.
• Configure and operate test stations, systems and related equipment.
• Analyse environmental test data, identify equipment issues and troubleshoot faults.
• Assist Engineering and Reliability teams with experiment setup and accurate recording of test results.
• Test, evaluate, maintain and repair general-purpose test equipment as required.
• Ensure activities comply with Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) policies and procedures.

What they are asking for

• 3-year technical diploma, Associate Degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2 to 7 years of relevant electro-mechanical experience.
• Strong knowledge of electronic equipment maintenance.
• Advanced soldering and electro-mechanical assembly skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings and parts lists.
• Proficiency with measurement and gauging equipment; experience using multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other electrical test instruments.
