Electrical Technician (Oil and Gas Experience)

The role is for an Electrical Technician with oil and gas experience, focused on electrical installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting and maintenance on greenfield and construction projects. What you would do

• Install electrical equipment, distribution panels, switchgear and related systems.
• Install cable trays, conduits, pull cables, make terminations and dress wiring per drawings.
• Read and interpret single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schedules and layout drawings.
• Connect motors, control stations, junction boxes and accessories.
• Carry out earthing and bonding installations.
• Perform electrical testing such as insulation resistance, continuity and earth continuity tests.
• Assist with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including checks and functional testing.
• Inspect installations for compliance with drawings, specifications and standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot faults, faulty components and cable or equipment issues.
• Maintain records of testing, installation progress, inspections and equipment documentation.

• OND, HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant oil and gas electrical experience.
• Experience on oil and gas greenfield projects, construction sites or facility expansions.
• Practical experience with electrical installation, cable pulling and termination, glanding, earthing and testing.
• Experience with switchgear, MCCs, distribution panels, transformers, motors and industrial lighting.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, cable schedules and layout drawings.
