Electrical Technician

The role is for an Electrical Technician at Mikano International Limited, based in Ikeja, Lagos. What you would do
- Design, develop, test and supervise assembling of electrical components on gen-sets and related equipment.
- Position load banks near control panels for easy reading and ensure cables are tightened on the control panel and load bank.
- Conduct checks such as oil, water safety, and water level before loading after starting the gen-set.
- Ensure diesel tanks and batteries are cleaned before switching on equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of both mechanical and electrical aspects to test gen-sets effectively.
- Check for abnormal noises, oil leaks, water leaks, diesel leaks, or air leaks before loading the gen-set.
- Troubleshoot electrical devices and resolve electrical faults.
- Ensure all gen-set parts are properly tightened and oil/water levels are maintained as required.
- Maintain overall readiness and safe operation of gen-sets during use.
- Verify availability of oil and water as needed.
