What you would do
- Carry out preventive maintenance on conveyors, boilers, pumps, motors, and control panels.
- Perform breakdown repairs and fault finding on electrical equipment.
- Test electrical motors with a Megger during fault finding or post-rewind.
- Maintain electrical panels and distribution boards to standards.
- Support mechanical technicians as needed.
- Ensure all factory lights are functioning and properly covered.
- Conduct fault finding on electrical panels using a multimeter.
- Ensure electrical cables are neatly strapped in cable trays.
- Repair or rebuild electrical equipment using workshop tools.
- Monitor environmental practices and electrical safety in the factory.
