Electrical Site Engineer
About this role
Matilda Group in Abuja is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to handle electrical designs for its construction projects. The role involves managing projects, timelines, budgets and resources; conducting site visits for installation oversight; and performing quality and performance analyses. The successful candidate will create electrical schematics and diagrams, design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and communication systems, and collaborate with project managers, architects and other engineers. The position requires creative problem-solving and a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, plus CAD proficiency. The company operates showrooms across electronics, furniture, luxury lights, clothing and household items in Nigeria.
What you would do
- Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time
- Oversee project timelines, budgets and resources
- Conduct site visits to oversee installations and ensure design compliance
- Perform quality and performance analysis
- Create electrical schematics and diagrams using CAD
- Develop electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms and communications systems
- Collaborate with project managers, architects and engineers to integrate designs
- Select appropriate electrical equipment and materials for projects
