Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Officer

About this role

Stockgap Fuels Limited, based in Abuja, is involved in distributing refined petroleum products and LPG. The role focuses on supervising upkeep, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs of plant electrical power distribution and utilities to ensure safe and continuous operations. The engineer will handle electrical systems such as LT/HT panels, MCCs, transformers, generators, motors, lighting and earthing, and will test backup power systems and monitor energy use for efficiency improvements. The position supports electrical safety compliance, earthing checks, and LOTO procedures. Suitable candidates have a technical degree and relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience, preferably in downstream petroleum or process plants.

What you would do

• Maintain LT/HT panels, MCCs, transformers, generators, motors, lighting and earthing systems.
• Test and maintain emergency power backup systems (generators and UPS).
• Monitor plant energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Support electrical safety compliance activities and earthing protection checks.
• Participate in LOTO procedures.
• Ensure safe and continuous electrical operations across plant utilities.

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering (2nd Class Upper or Upper Credit).
• 3 to 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in downstream petroleum or process plants.
