Electrical Crane Technician
About this role
The Electrical Crane Technician performs electrical maintenance on cranes at Tincan Island Container Terminal in Lagos, including routine checks, troubleshooting and repairs. The role is carried out under the Electrical Crane Supervisor and requires a minimum of an HND or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with at least three years of relevant experience. Safety compliance and proper use of tools and PPE are required.
What you would do
- Perform electrical preventive and corrective maintenance on cranes as directed by the Supervisor, following OEM specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot cranes to identify electrical faults.
- Requisition and collect spare parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare progress and completion reports and share with the Electrical Crane Supervisor.
- Adhere to safety requirements and use appropriate tools and PPE; attend weekly safety training.
- Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to complete tasks.
