Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited is hiring an Earth Moving Mechanic in Delta to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty earth-moving and construction equipment. The role suits a technically competent and safety-conscious individual who can keep machinery safe, reliable and minimise downtime. The position may involve repairs at project or field locations when required.

What you would do

• Inspect, service, maintain and repair earth-moving and heavy-duty equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine faults.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Inspect major components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, and undercarriages.
• Replace or repair worn or defective components and keep maintenance records.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out repairs at project or field locations when required.

What they are asking for

• Qualification: Certificate, Trade Test, OND, HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanics, Automobile Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years' experience as Earth Moving Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty earth-moving and construction equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults effectively.
• Willingness to work at project sites and remote locations when required.
