What you would do

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair electrical systems on earth-moving equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics and equipment manuals.
• Test, replace and repair components such as wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, lighting, sensors, relays, fuses and control modules.
• Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on heavy machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs and electrical maintenance activities.

What they are asking for

• Qualifications include Certificate, Trade Test, OND, HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2 to 5 years' experience as Earth Moving Equipment Electrician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Electrician or Automotive Electrician.
• Proven experience working on electrical systems of heavy-duty or earth-moving equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and wiring schematics and proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and HSE requirements; ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work at project sites and remote locations.
