Early Years Educator

About this role

Role is for an experienced Early Years Educator to join the MBIS EYFS team in Ibadan, working with young children under the British Early Years Foundation Stage framework. The position targets capable educators with a passion for early childhood development and British curriculum experience.

What you would do

• Support and extend learning through high-quality teaching and play-based activities
• Deliver phonics, early mathematics, and literacy instruction
• Support handwriting development and create engaging lesson plans
• Create and maintain stimulating classroom displays and learning environments
• Promote emotional, social, and educational development through play-based learning
• Uphold safeguarding principles and maintain professional conduct

What they are asking for

• Reside in Ibadan within commuting distance of Jericho
• B.Ed, B.A, B.Sc, HND or PGDE in Early Childhood Education from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
• Ability to teach phonics or willingness to be trained
• Competence in teaching early mathematics and literacy; developmentally appropriate methods
• Strong English language skills (written, spoken, reading) and computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Word)
