Drilling Engineer

ND Western Limited is seeking an experienced Drilling Engineer to join its Technical team in Delta. The role involves drilling operations in both onshore and offshore settings, with emphasis on well design, drilling fluids, bit selection, rate of penetration optimisation, and reducing non-productive time.

What you would do

• Execute drilling programmes.
• Supervise on-site drilling operations.
• Manage contractors and logistics for drilling projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., DPR) and HSE guidelines.
• Apply drilling software tools to support operations.
• Contribute to well design, drilling fluid systems, and bit selection, and optimise rate of penetration to reduce non-productive time.

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in drilling operations, preferably in both onshore and offshore environments.
• Strong understanding of drilling engineering principles, techniques, equipment, and proficiency in drilling software tools.
• Proven technical expertise in well design, drilling fluid systems, bit selection, ROP optimisation, and NPT reduction.
• Practical experience in drilling programme execution and on-site/field operational supervision.
• Experience in contractor and logistics management, and compliance with regulatory and HSE guidelines (e.g., DPR).
