Drilling Engineer

About this role

ADrilling Engineer to support planning and safe execution of drilling, completion, workover and well intervention activities across OML 30. The role involves providing technical and operational support throughout the well lifecycle and coordinating with internal teams, contractors and service providers.

What you would do

• Develop drilling and well programmes in line with policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed well designs, including objectives, casing, drill-string, BHA, hydraulics and contingency procedures.
• Prepare intervention work programmes and conduct offset-well analyses.
• Prepare pore-pressure and fracture-gradient analyses with Reservoir Engineers.
• Prepare expenditure documents for planned well activities and ensure risk assessments are completed.
• Provide technical support for rig-based activities and supervise well drilling, well-control, casing, cementing and completion operations.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor of Engineering with at least Second-Class Lower honours.
• Master of Engineering would be an advantage.
• Current IWCF or IADC certification.
• Relevant drilling and completion training certifications from recognised institutions.
• At least 10 years of oil and gas experience in drilling, completion, well engineering and optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of well planning, real-time drilling data interpretation and HSSE/regulatory compliance.
