The Draftsman role at Dangote Group in Lagos involves creating, updating and maintaining technical drawings and related engineering documents to support engineering, maintenance and construction activities at the DSR Numan Plant. What you would do
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, layouts and schematics based on specifications and calculations.
- Develop and modify drawings using CAD software.
- Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with approved specifications and standards.
- Revise drawings to reflect design changes and project requirements.
- Prepare drawings for equipment installation, plant modifications, construction and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, contractors and other stakeholders to clarify design requirements and resolve drawing-related issues.
What they are asking for
- HND/BSc in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology or related discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering drafting, preferably in manufacturing/industrial/plant environments.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, layouts, dimensions and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering, construction and safety standards.
- Relevant professional certification or technical drafting qualification is an added advantage.
