Domestic Switching Specialist

About this role

A full‑time Domestic Switching Specialist at Unified Payment Services Limited, based in Lagos Mainland, works with internal teams, banks and merchants to ensure reliable payment processing and seamless switching services. The role focuses on monitoring, incident resolution, and maintaining high system availability and compliance with SLAs.

What you would do

• Provide technical guidance and oversee onboarding of clients and financial institutions to UP Exchange platforms
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot APIs and payment integrations
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve failed, pending, reversed, and unsuccessful transactions
• Troubleshoot applications and infrastructure using logs, Linux tools, Docker, Nginx and related tech
• Analyse transaction data using SQL/PostgreSQL to resolve discrepancies
• Conduct root-cause analysis, coordinate resolution within SLAs, and support deployments and testing

• BSc in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years in technical support or related technology environment
• Experience supporting APIs, payment integrations, databases and Linux-based applications
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, and API testing tools (Postman)
• Proficiency in SQL/PostgreSQL and ability to analyse transaction data
