About this role

The Document Controller role with Collection Development Limited (CDL) in Lagos is a full‑time position focused on owning and managing the project document management system, maintaining revision‑controlled drawing and correspondence registers, issuing drawings to the site team, and supporting the Design and Architectural Manager with drawing status reporting on major construction projects.

What you would do

• Own and manage the project document management system; ensure correct and consistent use by all team members.
• Maintain the master drawing register for all disciplines; update with every new issue and revision.
• Issue incoming drawings from consultants to the site team via the document management system; obtain transmission receipts.
• Ensure only current-revision drawings are accessible on site; manage withdrawal and archiving of superseded drawings.
• Maintain all project correspondence registers (RFI log, Architect’s Instruction log, site instruction log, transmittal log, and formal letter register).
• Manage all incoming and outgoing formal correspondence; ensure documents are correctly named, numbered, and filed.

• Formal document control training or certification (advantage).
• Proficiency in Procore, Aconex, or equivalent document management platform.

• Absolute precision and consistency in document naming, numbering, and filing; proactive in identifying and correcting non-compliance; highly organised for high-volume information environments.
