Document Controller
About this role
The Document Controller role is based in Lagos with Scruples Resources. It involves managing project documents, maintaining registers and supporting project teams within a consultancy that provides resource development, skill acquisition and human resources services across all sectors of the Nigerian economy.
What you would do
- Receive, register, classify and distribute project documents using approved systems.
- Maintain document registers, revision statuses, transmittals and filing structures.
- Track document reviews, comments, approvals and overdue actions.
- Ensure controlled copies are available to authorised users and obsolete copies are withdrawn.
- Support document close-out, archiving and handover processes.
- Prepare status reports on documents and provide administrative support to project teams.

- Document-control experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document-management systems.
- Strong organisational skills, accuracy and confidentiality.
- Understanding of revision and transmittal control.
- Relevant degree, HND, OND, trade qualification or recognised professional certification appropriate to the discipline and level.
- Experience in industrial, construction, oil and gas, marine or project work is preferred.
