Dispatch & Logistics Officer
About this role
The Dispatch & Logistics Officer coordinates and monitors the movement of Day-Old Chicks and other consignments from Amo Farm to customers. Based in Oyo, the role covers dispatch planning, vehicle coordination, delivery tracking, and documentation, working with Sales, Hatchery, Warehouse and Finance to ensure order fulfilment.
What you would do
- Plan and coordinate daily dispatch activities based on confirmed customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate the movement and delivery of DOC and other consignments to customers and designated locations.
- Verify quantities, documentation, packaging and readiness before dispatch.
- Schedule drivers, vehicles, and routes to ensure efficient transport and delivery.
- Monitor deliveries from dispatch to final destination and report delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain dispatch records and logistics documentation; liaise with Sales, Hatchery, Warehouse and Finance to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, distribution, or operations.
- Experience in poultry, agriculture, FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar industry is advantageous.
- Experience with DOC or live-bird transportation is an added advantage.
- Strong planning, coordination and analytical skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
