Director, Policy and Partnerships (North-West Nigeria)

About this role

Directs policy and partnership activities for NewGlobe in North-West Nigeria, coordinating government engagement, workshops and stakeholder relations to drive education system transformation. Targets candidates with substantial government-facing experience and strong relationship-management skills, based in or able to work in Katsina region.

What you would do

• Lead government engagement, training and stakeholder meetings.
• Manage and oversee Policy and Partnerships staff focused on programme management.
• Coordinate multiple government departments and education stakeholders to support project delivery.
• Map key government officials and establish governance and regular meeting schedules.
• Ensure weekly and monthly government reporting and maintain a dynamic influencer database.
• Develop and implement goals, policies and procedures for government relations and monitor programme effectiveness.

• Bachelor's Degree with strong academic performance.
• Over 4 years of experience in government programme delivery or in account management/engagement roles.
• Experience working with ministries of education or government delivery programmes preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, diplomatic communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance commercial and social aims with high emotional intelligence.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal education issues in Nigeria preferred.
