Digital Marketing and Social Media Specialist
About this role
Awa Lawa Limited is seeking a Digital Marketing and Social Media Specialist to manage the brands’ online presence, paid campaigns and growth. The role is based in Lagos (on-site with some flexibility) and reports to the CEO. The candidate will run social media and digital marketing efforts across multiple platforms, ensure compliant gaming advertising, and drive user acquisition and engagement.
What you would do
- Manage social media across Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, WhatsApp Channels and Telegram for two brands
- Plan, publish and optimise a weekly content calendar and paid campaigns across Meta, X, TikTok, Google and other gaming-friendly networks
- Monitor budgets and key metrics (cost per sign-up, cost per first deposit, ROAS) and pass issues to customer support as needed
- Engage with followers, respond to comments/DMs within set hours and handle moderation and complaints
- Coordinate advertiser approvals and gambling pre-authorisations to keep ad accounts in good standing
- Collaborate with influencers, bloggers and affiliates; support referral programmes
- Create and edit graphics, short videos, reels and copy; maintain brand look and tone across channels
- Ensure compliance with ARCON rules, platform policies and responsible gaming messaging
- Drive SEO and website content, and execute SMS/email/WhatsApp campaigns to re-engage players
- Prepare weekly performance reports and monthly reviews with spend, results and next steps

- Strong analytics and ability to track conversions and report clearly
- Understanding of gaming advertising rules or ability to learn quickly
- Degree or certificate in marketing, communications or related field
- Portfolio of past campaigns with measurable results
- Experience with sports betting, lottery or prediction-market brands
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager, X Ads and TikTok Ads and managing a monthly budget
- Strong written English and understanding of Nigerian internet culture (Pidgin, trends)
- Knowledge of influencer, affiliate, SMS and WhatsApp marketing
- Ability to create content quickly using Canva, CapCut or similar tools
