Deputy Engineer - Electrical Maintenance

The Deputy Engineer - Electrical Maintenance role is with the Dangote Group in Ogun. It involves providing maintenance support for electrical systems to reduce downtime and to ensure steady, optimal equipment availability to meet targets.

What you would do

• Install, test, operate and maintain electrical equipment to required quality and safety standards.
• Ensure trouble-free operation of electrical equipment in the assigned area.
• Manage spares and materials to support smooth plant operation.
• Allocate daily tasks and provide technical guidance to subordinates.
• Ensure compliance with safety measures and keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Prepare maintenance reports and documentation, including power reports and daily job records.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years post-qualification relevant experience.
• Knowledge and experience of low, medium and high voltage systems and related equipment (switchboards, motors, transformers, cables, generators, etc).
• Experience with maintenance management methods and CMMS; familiarity with ISO 9000 standards and TPM.
• Strong communication skills, teamwork and integrity.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and rules.
