Demand Planner

About this role

Role: Demand Planner at Sika Manufacturing Nigeria Ltd in Lagos. You will develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts for all product lines, working with cross-functional teams to align forecasts with business plans and to support product availability and customer service. The role reports to the Procurement & Logistics Manager.

What you would do

• Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts for all product categories and lines.
• Analyse historical data, demand patterns, and market intelligence to improve forecast accuracy.
• Monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Finance to align forecasts with business plans.
• Support the Sales and Operations Planning process with accurate demand projections and analysis.
• Translate forecasts into supply and inventory plans with Production, Procurement and Logistics.

What they are asking for

• BSc/HND in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office.
• Good understanding of forecasting methodologies, inventory management principles, and supply chain processes.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
