Delivery Driver

Total Data Limited is recruiting for a Delivery Driver to support operations in Asaba, Delta. The role involves safely and promptly transporting and delivering products to customers and designated locations, handling company vehicles properly and adhering to road safety. The employer provides HR and manpower solutions to clients across Nigeria and seeks experienced drivers for an FMCG client. What you would do
- Conduct routine vehicle checks before and after trips and report faults
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers and stakeholders
- Handle and secure products during transportation
- Comply with traffic laws, driving policies and road safety regulations
- Assist with loading and offloading of products as required
- Plan delivery routes and demonstrate knowledge of Asaba and Eastern region roads
- Report accidents, delays, faults, or incidents to supervisor promptly
- Safely operate company delivery vans for transportation and delivery
- Demonstrate defensive driving and timely delivery to customers
- Maintain delivery records and vehicle cleanliness and condition
What they are asking for
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence
- Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience (delivery, distribution or FMCG)
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules
- Ability to read and follow directions effectively
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience driving both manual and automatic vans
- Experience with distribution or logistics companies is an asset
- Strong knowledge of roads in the Eastern region, especially Asaba
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations and responsible driving practices
