What you would do
- Draft, review, implement and renew data governance policies, standards, frameworks and procedures and manage the policy lifecycle.
- Oversee enterprise-wide data governance implementation and monitor compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to the Enterprise Data Office.
- Implement and operationalise the data stewardship program and define data ownership across domains.
- Design and implement data governance controls, conduct testing and gap analyses, and maintain risk and issue registers.
- Provide governance training, awareness campaigns and onboarding materials to build data literacy within the organisation.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Information Systems, Data Management or related field.
- 5+ years in data governance, risk, compliance or policy/controls roles.
- Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, insurance, telecom, etc.).
- Experience running change management, training programs or culture-building initiatives.
- Working knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT) and regulations (GDPR, NDPA).
- Familiarity with modern data architectures (Medallion, Data Mesh, Data Vault 2.0) and governance in distributed environments.
- Strong written communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional certifications such as DCAM, CDMP, DGSP, CIPP or equivalent.
- Experience with GRC tooling or policy management platforms.
- Understanding of data quality, metadata and lineage and their link to policy and controls.
