Data Entry Officer (Edo)
About this role
The role is for a Data Entry Officer based in Edo (Oredo) with hybrid work. The position supports the onboarding and data integrity processes for Moniepoint’s platform, ensuring customer accounts, product catalogs, inventory, and pricing data are accurately entered and maintained. You will work closely with Onboarding Specialists and Account Managers to enable smooth go-lives and reliable reporting. Success is measured by high accuracy, fast turnaround, and contributing to an efficient operational foundation. The employer is a global payments and banking platform that partners with SMBs and supports onboarding and data management activities.
What you would do
- Enter and maintain merchant data including product catalogues, SKUs, pricing, inventory levels, and customer profiles
- Process bulk data imports from spreadsheets and CSV files, validating format and completeness before upload
- Ensure records comply with data standards and naming conventions
- Prepare merchant accounts for onboarding by populating required data within timelines
- Review merchant-submitted templates for errors and follow up to resolve gaps
- Assist in setting up catalogue structures, tax configurations and payment settings as directed
- Perform data validation to identify and correct errors, duplicates or outdated records
- Cross-reference data across spreadsheets, CRM and POS backend for consistency
- Document data entry activities, import logs and corrections in the CRM
- Collaborate with Onboarding, Account Managers and Support to fulfil data requests within SLA
What they are asking for
- 1-3 years in data entry, data operations or similar role (preferably SaaS, retail tech or fintech)
- Completed NYSC or valid exemption certificate
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy on large data volumes
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (data cleaning, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas)
- Familiarity with CRM platforms or POS/back-office SaaS tools
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Preferred: experience with bulk CSV imports, data migration or catalogue management in SaaS
- Exposure to retail operations, inventory systems or POS platforms
- Experience supporting onboarding, implementation or customer success teams
- Based in Edo State – Oredo
