Data Analyst
About this role
A Data Analyst is needed to support data analysis across Malaria Consortium Nigeria’s portfolio in Abuja, under the Country MEL Manager. The role involves qualitative and quantitative analyses, data cleaning, dashboard development, and contributing to research and evaluation activities for malaria control projects.
What you would do
- Support statistical analysis of project data across the portfolio
- Conduct secondary and meta-analyses on available programme data
- Assist with data cleaning, validation and quality control of survey and routine datasets
- Develop and automate portfolio dashboards and indicator tracking systems
- Assist with study design, sample size calculations and statistical analysis of project data
- Support data management capacity building and data audits
What they are asking for
- Master's Degree in Statistics or Public Health with epidemiology/biostatistics or demography
- Extensive experience in statistical analysis and data management with international organisations or research institutions
- Experience in research design and implementation
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools and methods in global health
- Experience with data entry systems (KoboToolbox or SurveyCTO) and statistical software (Stata, R, Excel, Python, Nvivo)
- Desirable: knowledge of malaria and disease surveillance, DHIS2, and data visualization tools like Power BI
