Data Analysis Coordinator, MMS & SQ-LNS (Consultant) - Abuja

About this role

A consultant Data Analysis Coordinator will manage the end-to-end monitoring data pipeline for MMS and SQ-LNS programs in Abuja. The role involves building and executing SurveyCTO forms, cleaning and analysing field data, and delivering decision-ready outputs such as dashboards, reports and data packs within tight timelines. It sits in Evidence Action’s Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation team for West and Central Africa and collaborates with Field Operations and program teams. The position has no direct reports and reports to the MLE Manager. The employer runs health and nutrition programmes aiming to improve outcomes for at-risk populations through data-driven monitoring and evaluation.

What you would do

• Analyse MMS monitoring data for multiple states including baseline and sentinel transitions, spot-checks and adherence observations.
• Analyse quarterly SQ-LNS health facility monitoring data across states, calculating indicators by state, LGA and facility.
• Perform descriptive and inferential analyses and interpret results for program action.
• Support MMS coverage surveys and SQ-LNS endline survey with data quality checks and estimates.
• Produce outputs such as high-frequency checks, cleaned datasets, topline summaries and full analysis outputs on time.
• Prepare state and LGA data packs for review meetings and quarterly performance reports.
• Build dashboards, maps and visualisations for programme and government audiences.
• Write clear summaries and slides highlighting key findings and recommended actions.
• Assist with data requests from program teams and donor reporting with data inputs.
• Ensure data quality, reproducible workflows, and secure data management across all data rounds.

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Public Health, Epidemiology or a quantitative field.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years’ experience in data management and analysis for health or nutrition programs in Nigeria.
• Proven ability to deliver accurate analysis under tight deadlines with multiple data streams.
• Proficiency in Stata and/or R for data cleaning and analysis, with reproducible scripting experience.
• Experience with SurveyCTO or other mobile data collection platforms; form programming and high-frequency checks.
• Descriptive and basic inferential analysis knowledge; advanced Excel skills.
• Experience building dashboards/visualisations (Power BI, R Shiny, Tableau).
• Ability to communicate results clearly to non-technical audiences and document processes.
