About this role

Malaria Consortium is seeking a consultant for a cross-platform mobile application project. The role is hybrid and based in Abuja, focusing on design, development and deployment of a secure, multilingual mobile learning platform for Android and iOS, with AI integration and offline capabilities. The consultant will manage and deliver a full platform architecture, APIs, content management, AI governance, analytics, and reporting, ensuring data privacy and suitability for low-bandwidth environments. Deliverables span from requirements and architecture to UAT, production deployment and handover. The assignment emphasises multilingual support (English, Hausa, Fulfulde) and learning management for multiple user roles within a health sector digital platform.

What you would do

• Define and manage project requirements and dependencies.
• Design the architecture and technical design for the mobile platform.
• Develop and deploy mobile apps for Android and iOS.
• Implement learning management, content management and AI services.
• Integrate AI features including RAG and knowledge sources.
• Ensure offline-first functionality with data synchronization.
• Provide analytics, dashboards and reporting capabilities.
• Coordinate security, privacy, and data governance.
• Support training, handover, and post-implementation support.
• Deliver documentation, testing plans and go-live readiness.
