Credit Enterprise and Risk Manager
About this role
A Credit Enterprise and Risk Manager is sought for Brent Mortgage Bank Limited in Victoria Island, Lagos. The role focuses on defining and managing the bank's credit risk framework, reporting to senior management and the board, and supporting risk and remediation activities for mortgage banking operations.
What you would do
- Define credit approval framework and set credit approval limits aligned with policy
- Assess individual credit requests in line with approved procedures
- Review delinquent portfolio and identify root causes with recommendations and closure tracking
- Develop and manage the enterprise risk management framework, policies, procedures and reporting
- Monitor emerging risks in business development and propose policy enhancements
- Prepare timely credit risk reports for senior management and board; oversee ERM activities; train staff on risk awareness; conduct stress tests and scenario analyses; support remediation and collections when needed
What they are asking for
- Master's in risk management, finance, accounting or related field (plus)
- Experience in mortgage banking
- Minimum 10 years in financial services; at least 5 years in a similar mortgage banking role
- HND or BSc in accounting, economics or related field
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with and lead a professional team
