Credit Control Officer
About this role
A Credit Control Officer role based in Lagos for candidates with experience in credit policy development and credit management, ideally from the FMCG sector. The role focuses on enforcing sound credit practices, managing receivables and credit risk, and providing reports and improvements.
What you would do
- Develop and implement credit policies and guidelines
- Evaluate customers’ creditworthiness and recommend credit limits and terms
- Monitor outstanding debts and contact debtors to facilitate payments
- Develop and implement debt collection strategies and negotiate settlements
- Generate reports on credit and collection status with recommendations
- Maintain relevant documentation and ensure compliance with laws and regulations
What they are asking for
- BSc/HND in Marketing, Sales or related field
- MSc/MBA or professional certification (ACA, CFA) is an added advantage
- Minimum of four years’ relevant experience, preferably in FMCG
- Experience in credit policy development and credit control/management
