Crane and Lifting Equipment Specialist

About this role

SPIE Oil & Gas Services is looking for a Crane and Lifting Equipment Specialist based in Rivers. The role provides technical and economic leadership for the inspection, maintenance and reliability of cranes and lifting gear, aligning with safety standards for offshore and onshore oil and gas assets. It supports DW field operations and coordinates maintenance and vendor activities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

What you would do

• Lead the technical and economic management of inspection, maintenance and reliability for cranes and lifting equipment in line with safety standards.
• Ensure reliability and availability of cranes and lifting equipment and that inspection and maintenance processes comply with safety policies on lifting and marine equipment.
• Act as technical authority to DW field operations in accordance with company rules and statutory regulations.
• Analyse crane maintenance activities and lifting equipment performance to drive efficiency, cost optimisation and savings.
• Coordinate planned crane maintenance activities fleet-wide with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and manage specialised crane maintenance vendors within SCM frame agreements.
• Support DW TUPNI asset installations for crane issues and liaise with crane manufacturers and classification societies as required.

What they are asking for

• BSc Mechanical Engineering (2.1).
• Approximately 15 years' experience with offshore cranes and hydraulic power transmission and control systems.
• Proven experience with heavy machinery/equipment; maintenance, fault finding, and procurement of equipment projects; plus team management, analytical and organisational skills.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English.
