About this role
The Coverage Head, North West is based in Kano for Stanbic IBTC. The role leads the Commercial Banking client coverage for the North West, coordinating distribution and digital initiatives to support client growth and relationship management.
What you would do
- Optimise the Distribution / Client Coverage network for PPB AR, including ATM and Agency Banking, with a focus on cost optimisation and migration to digital platforms.
- Drive strategic initiatives to increase sales for targeted clients and move from cost of service to cost of sales.
- Lead the execution of the Commercial Banking strategy through defined coverage plans and client-growth initiatives.
- Translate strategic goals into measurable business plans, targets and sales activities across Commercial Banking teams.
- Drive profitable growth by acquiring target clients, increasing wallet share and deepening penetration of existing relationships.
- Establish performance scorecards and accountability frameworks for coverage teams and monitor progress.
What they are asking for
- First degree in Business, Commerce or related field.
- Postgraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Banking or related discipline.
- 10+ years of relationship management, portfolio growth and strategic client management experience.
- 5+ years of leadership of managers or multi-layered coverage teams.
- Experience in credit risk management, portfolio governance and balance sheet management; extensive executive stakeholder engagement.
- Professional banking qualification or relevant financial services certification; knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions and KYC; regulatory accreditation preferred.
