About this role
A Cost Controller role based in Lagos for Villa Park Hotels and Suites, overseeing hotel operating costs, inventory and consumption to help manage expenditure and minimise losses. Ideal for candidates with cost-control or inventory accounting experience in hospitality. What you would do
- Maintain food and beverage cost records, recipe costings and inventory reports
- Review departmental costs and prepare cost-control reports and recommendations
- Check purchase prices, receiving documents, store issues and stock transfers
- Conduct regular stock counts and investigate variances between physical stock and records
- Compare actual consumption with sales and standard recipes and report variances and wastage
- Collaborate with finance, purchasing, stores, kitchen and service teams to improve stock and cost controls

- Minimum 3 years of cost-control, inventory accounting or related experience in hospitality or similar sector
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and integrity
- Knowledge of food and beverage costing, stock reconciliation and purchasing controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory, accounting or POS systems
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline
- Good communication and teamwork skills
