Cost Accounting Officer

The role is for a Cost Accounting Officer at Taeillo in Lagos (Ikeja area) on a full-time basis. The person will monitor manufacturing costs, reduce material waste, improve cost efficiency, and provide accurate financial information to support business decisions. What you would do

• Prepare and maintain product costing sheets, bills of materials and cost estimates
• Calculate and monitor product costs including raw materials, direct labour, and overheads
• Prepare periodic cost and profitability reports and management reports
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse and Finance to ensure accurate cost records
• Track raw material consumption, wastage, rework, and finished goods costs
• Analyse actual production costs against budgets and standards and investigate variances
• Reconcile inventory records and support valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support budgeting and month-end reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes
• Ensure accurate cost records and material accountability across departments

• ICAN, ACCA, ANAN or progress toward a professional qualification is advantageous
• HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity and problem-solving abilities
• 2–3 years of relevant manufacturing experience with production costing, inventory accounting, cost analysis and variance reporting
• Knowledge of bills of materials, manufacturing overheads and inventory valuation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems
