Cost Accountant, FSC

About this role

A full-time Cost Accountant position based in Lagos for ORÍKÌ Group, focusing on analysing costs, budgeting, inventory valuation and cost control within the production environment. Suitable for candidates with 2–5 years in cost accounting in manufacturing and strong analytical skills.

What you would do

• Analyse production costs and compare actual costs with budgets and standard costs
• Prepare product costing, cost forecasts, budgets, and profitability reports
• Review procurement and production costs for accuracy and efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels and conduct stock counts with accurate valuation
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest profitability improvements
• Maintain cost accounting records and support audits and monthly/yearly financial activities

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of cost accounting experience in production/manufacturing
• Experience in production costing, inventory management, procurement and cost control
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
• Excellent analytical, numerical, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; accounting software is an advantage
