Cost Accountant

About this role

Neveah Limited in Ogun is hiring a Cost Accountant to monitor and analyse the costs of the aluminium and copper recycling plant. The role focuses on cost efficiency, detailed reporting and providing insights to support financial and operational decisions. It is aimed at candidates with substantial cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or recycling, with knowledge of ERP systems.

What you would do

• Analyse production costs (raw materials, labour and overhead) and prepare cost reports with variance analyses.
• Value and reconcile inventory (raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods) and ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Maintain the fixed asset register.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including preparation of annual budgets and tracking variances.
• Implement cost controls and conduct profitability analyses for production lines and product categories.
• Develop cost accounting systems and reports using ERP for real-time tracking.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CMA) highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or recycling.
• Proficiency in cost accounting principles and practices.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with industry-specific costing methods and inventory valuation techniques.
