About this role
Cook role based in Lagos for Villa Park Hotels and Suites, required to prepare meals, maintain kitchen hygiene and manage portion control for guests, events, and room service. The position targets candidates with hotel or catering kitchen experience who can work under pressure and on weekends/public holidays.
What you would do
- Check ingredient quality and rotate stock to minimise waste.
- Organise ingredients and mise en place for orders.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to menus, recipes and portion standards.
- Follow food safety, storage, temperature control and cleaning procedures.
- Work with kitchen and service staff to deliver accurate orders promptly.
- Communicate shortages, dietary requests and allergen information to the supervising chef.

- At least 2 years of cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant or catering kitchen.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, portion control and safe use of kitchen equipment.
- Minimum of SSCE; culinary or catering qualification is an advantage.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and cover shifts, weekends and public holidays.
