Contracting & Procurement Lead
About this role
Contracting & Procurement Lead for Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, based in Rivers, Nigeria. Oversees the end-to-end supply chain process for the assigned contract portfolio, including contract strategy, tactics and contract management. Collaborates with internal stakeholders on pre-award procurement strategies and with internal and external stakeholders on post-award value delivery.
What you would do
- Develop commercially competitive contracting and procurement strategies for assigned key spend categories to meet business demand, while considering Renaissance-wide strategies.
- Conduct tenders, evaluate bids and negotiate with suppliers in accordance with the Supply Chain processes.
- Develop post-award contract management plans to maximise value and ensure contract delivery.
- Proactively identify internal procurement needs and propose competitive solutions; challenge business demand and procurement practices to drive value and efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships and drive continuous performance improvement using contract metrics, including HSSE, operations and cost.
- Build and maintain a market network, stay aware of supplier developments and coordinate with Production, Wells, Projects and Operations to share best practices.
What they are asking for
- A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Business, Engineering or equivalent from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 5 years' work experience in contracting/procurement in an oil and gas company.
- Proven CP professional with ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural/diverse environment.
- Knowledge of development and execution of tenders, bid analysis, negotiation and contract execution.
- Knowledge of post-award contract management (contract administration, contractor relationships and performance management).
- MCIPS qualification would be preferred but not mandatory.
