About this role
A remote consulting role with UNICEF focusing on advancing large-scale food fortification and iodine nutrition in West and Central Africa, with travel within the region. It targets experienced nutrition and public health professionals who can deliver high-level technical outputs and support regional bodies and member states.
What you would do
- Prepare technical products and frameworks to support regional efforts on LSFF and USI
- Strengthen institutional capacity and harmonise regional standards and regulatory frameworks
- Develop operational recommendations for selected member states
- Draft technical documentation supporting regional LSFF commitments and USI
- Contribute to policy reform, standards harmonisation and monitoring systems
- Create country-specific implementation roadmaps for LSFF programmes including USI

- Master's degree in Nutrition, Partnerships, Advocacy, Development, Communications, Economics
- 10-15 years of professional experience in public nutrition, food systems or related development work
- Experience with LSFF, USI or micronutrient deficiency prevention
- Experience supporting regional or multi-country programmes in Africa, preferably WCAR
- Proven track record with inter-governmental bodies, governments and UN agencies
- Strong communication, negotiation, diplomacy and stakeholder management skills
