What you would do
- Provide specialist consultations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment plans in ophthalmology.
- Manage patients with acute and chronic conditions and arrange follow-up care.
- Request, interpret, and review relevant diagnostic investigations.
- Perform ophthalmic procedures and interventions within competence.
- Collaborate with other consultants, nurses and healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date medical records.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, prevention and ongoing care.
- Uphold professional ethics, clinical guidelines and patient safety standards.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement of clinical services and patient outcomes.

- Recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Postgraduate specialist qualification in ophthalmology.
- Current registration and valid practising licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Relevant specialist registration and credentials as applicable.
- Demonstrable clinical experience in ophthalmology.
