What you would do

• Provide clinical leadership for the Ophthalmology Department and deliver specialised eye care
• Renew glasses for patients when necessary
• Respond promptly to customer issues with an appropriate level of concern
• Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements and safety factors
• Coordinate the delivery of eyewear products to customers according to guidelines
• Maintain ophthalmic equipment and manage stock of unit equipment and consumables

• Fellowship degree from West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate Medical College or relevant qualification
• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the health sector
• Membership of the Nigeria Medical Association
• Membership of the Ophthalmology Society of Nigeria (local and national)
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
• Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills; high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
